Nancy Burnham and I spent a couple of hours on Sunday putting books away and setting up a space where t-shirts and sweatshirts are on display. So now not only can you turn around in the library, you can actually see the desktop and choose a shirt to buy! My head spins with the thrilling thought....
I met another person who ran in Readers on the Run, Brooke Gamble (Brook? not sure how to spell her name), at the Fairbanks Community Cooperative Market fundraiser Saturday night. She was one of the top finishers and won a prize for her costume (glaringly bright). And she, like a couple of other people I've met since then who were in the race, said it was great fun and she'd do it again. So I think this fundraiser is a keeper.
