Now HERE's an interesting car...

Covered in cloth! Lousy on the theft prevention, of course, but extremely cool, and a little creepy (it can wink!) Check out the film:

BMW has a plant here in South Carolina. I wonder if they are going to make these things here?

I must say, I do like the idea of a cloth skin. It would kill my business as a vendor of fasteners for the auto body shop business, but think of all the resources we could save by not making metal or plastic fenders, doors, trunks etc...

That is sweet. Airplanes were made with fabric for years.

The real question is: Can we cover our cars in blue tarps?

This is a concept car, alas, so BMW has no intention of mass producing it. However, I wouldn't be surprised if vehicles like this start turning up.
